INVITATION TO THE 2^ND INTERNATIONAL MARIONETTE FESTIVAL HANOI - 2010

Tò He, bearing a traditional cultural feature is a popular toy, very simple, hand-made, but very lively, funny and very attractive to children. “Story of Tò He” is the latest play of the Vietnam National Puppetry Theatre, praising and honouring a traditional craft although it is interested by very few people because of the flooding of industrial toys now.

Fifteen young water puppet performers from Vietnam will travel to Finland in their performance tour from August 29 to Sept. 2 at the Cultural Centre of Espoo, Tapiola and Hevosenkenka Theatre at the invitation of the Ambassador of Finland to Vietnam.

Hevosenkenka Theatre of Finland is famous for its "human puppets" - human-sized puppets.
